*Update* Arrest Made #LASD Homicide Dets Responded to Shooting Invest, Elizabeth Lake Rd/Ranch Center Dr, Palmdale

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting death of three male adults and the wounding of a fourth male adult that occurred on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at 11:16 p.m. on the Ranch Center Drive and 40th Street West in the city of Palmdale.
 
Based on information gathered during the course of the investigation, detectives have arrested Jonathan Paul Misirli on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at approximately 12:00 p.m.as he walked along North Vermont Avenue just north of Los Feliz Boulevard in Los Feliz.  Detectives identified suspect Misirli as the suspected shooter in the murders and learned he had been living in the park area surrounding the Griffith Park Observatory.  A surveillance operation was conducted, and he was captured without incident as he walked out of the wooded area. 
 
Suspect Misirli (#5615540), a resident of the Sun Valley area and former resident of Palmdale, was booked at Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station for murder and is being held in lieu of $3,035,000 bail. 
 
The case against Suspect Misirli was presented to Head Deputy District Attorney and after reviewing the facts related to this incident, the following charges were filed against Suspect Misirli:
 

  •         3 counts of Murder, 187(a) PC,
  •         with the allegation that counts 1, 2, and 3 are a special circumstance, under PC 190.2(a)(3)
  •         1 count of Attempted Murder
  •         1 count of 2nd degree Robbery, 211 PC
 
In addition there is the allegation, as to counts 1, 2, 3,4 and 5 that Misirli personally and intentionally discharged an assault rifle (12022.53(d)).
 

The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.

NARRATIVE:
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are responding to investigate the shooting deaths of three men. The incident occurred on Wednesday January 16, 2019, at approximately 11:16 p.m., in the area of Elizabeth Lake Road and Ranch Center Drive, Palmdale. 
   
Three victims were pronounced dead at the scene and one victim was transported to a local hospital. 

There is no additional information available at this time.
