INCIDENT: Felony Evading a Peace Officer / Weapons Violation
LOCATIONS: Oak Glen Rd./I-10 Freeway, Yucaipa
SUSPECTS: Ryan Bousman, age 43 a resident of Yucaipa
SUMMARY:
On May 2, 2019, Yucaipa deputies attempted to stop a 2017 Toyota Corolla due to a traffic violation. The driver failed to yield to deputies and traveled west on Interstate 10 at a high rate of speed, sometimes using the shoulder to pass slower drivers. The driver exited the freeway in Redlands and drove recklessly through surface streets before losing control of his vehicle and crashing into a parked car in the area of Central Ave and Cook St, Redlands. The driver fled on foot and was found hiding in nearby brush. The driver was taken into custody and identified as Ryan Bousman. Bousman was found to be in possession of an expandable police baton and methamphetamine. Bousman was also found to be on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) out of Riverside County.
Bousman was booked into West Valley Detention Center on charges of felony evading and weapons violations. He was also booked on a no-bail felony warrant for violating PRCS and an additional warrant for a prior resisting arrest incident.
