Freeze Warning until 08:00AM Friday

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Freeze Warning, which is in effect from 3 AM to 8 AM MDT Friday.

* LOCATIONS...Including the cities of Rangely, Dinosaur, De Beque, New Castle, Mesa, Parachute, Rifle, Silt, Eagle, Edwards, Glenwood Springs, Carbondale, Cortez, Dove Creek, Mancos, Durango, Bayfield, and Ignacio.

* TEMPERATURES...28 to 32 degrees with coldest temperatures occurring around sunrise.

* TIMING...late tonight and early Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...Sensitive vegetation and swamp coolers will be impacted by sub-freezing temperatures.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ANIMAS RIVER BASIN ... LOWER YAMPA RIVER BASIN ... DEBEQUE TO SILT CORRIDOR ... CENTRAL COLORADO RIVER BASIN ... FOUR CORNERS/UPPER DOLORES RIVER

Instructions:

A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
