April 19th

Shoplifting -10680 San Pablo Ave (Marshall’s):
An officer accepted the citizen’s arrest of a 30-year-old San Francisco man after he was caught shoplifting $241 worth of Calvin Klein clothing items by Marshall’s loss prevention. The man was issued a citation and released at the scene.

April 20th

Possess Drug Paraphernalia - 1300 Block of Contra Costa Dr:
An officer contacted a 34-year-old Berkeley woman during a suspicious vehicle detail and discovered she was in possession of drug paraphernalia. The woman received a citation for the drug paraphernalia and was released from the scene.

Stolen vehicle – 6009 Potrero Avenue:
An officer checked the license plate of a car that was parked at the motel and discovered it was a stolen vehicle from Richmond. The vehicle was towed away, and the owner was notified.

Shoplifting – 10794 San Pablo Avenue (Marshall’s):
An officer responded to Marshall’s to contact security in regards to a person they had detained for shoplifting. The officer accepted the citizen’s arrest of a woman for stealing $537.00 worth of merchandise. She was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and released with a citation.

Driving Under the Influence – Carlson Blvd. at San Pablo Avenue:
An officer pulled over a car and discovered the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and released with a citation to a sober family member.

April 21st
Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Avenue at Hill Street:
An officer pulled a car over and found the driver had an arrest warrant from Solano County. The driver was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

April 22nd

Shoplifting-11565
San Pablo Ave (Walgreen’s):
An officer accepted the citizen’s arrest of a 38-year-old transient male for the theft of a bottle of wine from Walgreen’s. The man was issued a citation and released.

Warrant Arrest -Conlon Ave / San Pablo Ave:
An officer arrested a 38-year-old Vallejo man during a traffic stop for a Solano County DUI warrant. The man was booked and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant Arrest-San Pablo Ave / Hill St:
An officer arrested a 56-year-old Richmond man during a traffic stop for a failure to appear warrant. The man was booked and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

DUI and Unlicensed Driver- Kearney St / Blake Ave:
An officer arrested a 39-year-old Oakland man while attempting to parallel park his car. The officer recognized the vehicle from an earlier contact with its intoxicated occupants. The driver was intoxicated and subsequently booked at the ECPD.

Robbery – 11450 San Pablo Avenue (Safeway):
An officer responded to Safeway on the report of someone fighting with a security guard. When the officer arrived, he found the fight started when the security guard attempted to get back property that the suspect had stolen from the store. The officer accepted the citizen’s arrest of the suspect. The suspect was booked at the ECPD and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

April 23

Residential Burglary and Stolen Vehicle – 7400 block of Sea View Pl:
At 9:21 am, officers responded to a suspicious event in front of a residence. A neighbor called to report a group of juveniles looking into a residence and their neighbor’s car being driven away. Officers arrived on scene and discovered a shattered sliding glass door. The homeowner came home and confirmed their vehicle was stolen. Later in the shift, two officers spotted the stolen vehicle and attempted to stop the car. The occupants fled from the vehicle, and a short foot pursuit ensued. The officers were able to apprehend two of the suspects. Two juveniles were booked at the ECPD and then transported to juvenile hall.

Forgery – 9900 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 12:29 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect used a forged check and stolen CA ID card to cash two checks for six-thousand dollars from the victim’s account.

Shoplifting – 10700 San Pablo Ave:
At 4:12 pm, an officer reports the citizen’s arrest of a 31-year-old female from Martinez after she entered the business and attempted to leave with stolen property. The female was issued a citation in the field.

Grand Theft – 11800 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 6:37 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect claimed to have a house for rent and obtained money from the victim as a security deposit and rent. The victim later discovered the home was not for rent.

April 24

Spousal Battery, Criminal Threats, and False Imprisonment – 5300 block of Cypress Ave:
At 1:06 pm, an officer reports while the victim was at her boyfriend’s home, the victim was struck by the suspect, an 18-year-old male from Richmond. The suspect also threatened to further harm the victim if she attempted to leave. The victim was finally able to leave and later obtained a restraining order.

Armed Robbery – 11319 San Pablo Ave:
At 5:26 pm, officers responded to the report of a male who had just robbed a gas station with a firearm. Officers located the 33-year-old man nearby and arrested him after the victim positively identified him. The gun was determined to be a hand tool which was modified to resemble a firearm. The man, a parolee, was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Grand Theft – 10700 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 9:41 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect claimed to have a house for rent and met with the victim several times to collect money for a security deposit and rent. Much like the crime on the 23rd,the victim later discovered the home was not for rent.

April 25

Shoplifting, Possession of Counterfeit Money – 11687 San Pablo Ave:
At 6:40 pm, an officer reports an unknown man entered the business and selected several cases of beer. The man placed a $100 bill on the counter as he exited the store and did not wait to have the purchase completed. The clerk examined the bill and discovered the note was fictitious.

Vandalism – 6100 block of Potrero Ave:
At 8:04 pm, an officer reports an unknown elderly woman approached a home and struck the window several times with a walking cane. A portion of the window was broken as a result of the impact.

Shoplifting – 11565 San Pablo Ave:
At 9:09 pm, an officer reports three males entered the business and selected merchandise before fleeing from the store without providing payment.
