* WHAT...Heavy snow accumulations expected above 9000 feet. Additional snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches expected. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Southwest San Juan Mountains and Northwest San Juan Mountains.

* WHEN...Until noon MDT Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. A detailed map of the snowfall can be found at: www.weather.gov/gjt/winter.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHWESTERN SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS ... SOUTHWEST SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS
