City of Santa Clara's March Crime Statistics Available

Each month, the Santa Clara Police Department publishes crime statistics for the City of Santa Clara
(http://santaclaraca.gov/government/departments/police-department/crime).

The information on the website reflects crimes that are categorized as Part I Crimes by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Uniform Crime Report. By the FBI’s definition, Part I Crimes include: violent crimes (homicide, rape, robbery, aggravated assault) and property crimes (burglary, larceny or theft, motor vehicle theft, arson). These numbers reflect what has been reported to the FBI and exclude cases that have been unfounded.

Community Crime Map, by LexisNexis, (http://www.communitycrimemap.com/?address=SantaClara) connects law enforcement with the community to reduce crime and improve public safety. Crime mapping helps the public get a better idea of the crime activity in their area so they can make more informed decision. With Community Crime Map, residents can also receive automatic alerts by location, date range, type of event and view analytics.
