Burglary, Drug Possession, & Other Offenses

4/18 – Police took a report of a burglary to a vehicle on Rhineland Place. The vehicle was parked in an attached garage at the time which, per state statute, constitutes a residential burglary. That same morning police also took a report of a theft of license plates off a vehicle parked on Danube Drive.

After a lengthy investigation, which included assistance from the St. Clair County Drug Tactical Unit, and the St. Clair County Probation Department, the police department came into contact with multiple individuals. During the course of the investigation, one subject who was wanted on a warrant resisted arrest. Another subject, who was in custody for a warrant, attempted to escape from a squad car. Also, during the investigation, a search warrant was executed at a suspect’s residence. After a thorough investigation the report was submitted to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office.

The following is synopsis of the charging documents issued by the state’s attorney’s office. The following subjects were charged:

Jennifer A. McClure, age 35 of Millstadt:

Residential Burglary: in that the defendant, knowingly and without authority entered into the dwelling place of the victim, with the intent to commit therein a theft. A Class 1 Criminal Felony, Category A Offense.

Theft: in that the defendant, knowingly obtained control over certain stolen property of the victim, an Illinois license plate, total value not in excess of $500.00 knowing the property to have been stolen. A Class A Misdemeanor, Category B Offense.

Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine: in that the defendant knowingly and unlawfully had in her possession less than five grams of a substance containing methamphetamine. A Class 3 Criminal Felony, Category B Offense.

Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance: in that the defendant knowingly had in her possession less that 200 grams of a substance containing fentanyl, a controlled substance. A Class 4 Criminal Felony, Category B Offense.

Her total bond was set at $55,000.

Timothy J. Snyder, age 24 of St. Louis, Missouri:

Attempt Escape: in that the defendant, with the intent to commit the offense of Escape, performed a substantial step toward the commission of that offense, in that, while in the lawful custody of a Millstadt Officer, a peace officer for the City of Millstadt, for the alleged commission of felony offense, being residential burglary, intentionally tried to escape from the Officer, by trying to climb out of the back of the Officer’s Millstadt Police Department patrol car. A Class 3 Criminal Felony, Category B Offense.

Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine: in that the defendant knowingly and unlawfully had in his possession less that five grams of a substance containing methamphetamine. A Class 3 Criminal Felony, Category B Offense.

Criminal Damage to Government Supported Property: in that the defendant, knowingly damaged, without the consent of the State of Illinois, the City of Millstadt Patrol Car #641, while located at 18 Lexington Drive, which property is supported in part with City of Millstadt funds, said damage not in excess of $500.00. A Class 4 Criminal Felony, Category B Offense.

Obstructing Identification: in that the defendant, knowingly furnished a false mane to a Millstadt Officer, a peace officer for the City of Millstadt, who had lawfully detained said defendant. A Class A Misdemeanor, Category B Offense.

His bond was set at $35.000. He also had an active no-bond felony warrant out of St. Charles, Missouri.

Kaitlin N. Boster, age 28 of St. Louis, Missouri, was arrested on a no-bond felony warrant out of Camden County, Missouri.
