Wilmington Police arrest two after finding drugs during traffic stop
Wilmington Police have arrested a man and a woman found with drugs during a motor vehicle stop.
On April 17 at approximately 2:50 p.m., police officers on proactive patrol in the 900 block of East 17th Street observed a vehicle with an illegal window tint traveling in reverse down the street. Officers stopped the vehicle, and detected a strong odor of marijuana when they approached the car.
Police recovered 63.3 grams of marijuana, 1.7 grams of crack cocaine, a digital scale and $1,235 in currency from the vehicle. Officers took the driver and passenger into custody without incident.
The driver of the vehicle, 26-year-old Isaiah Stanford, has been charged with the window tint violation and a moving violation, along with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $20,252 secured bail.
Police have charged the passenger in the vehicle, 38-year-old Felicia Mckinnon, with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $15,350 secured bail.
