Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that on April 29,2019 at approximately 0406 hrs, deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a personal injury crash on US 12 near the intersection of Starbrick Rd. in Mason Township. 45 year old, Krisiti Lyn Shuler of Kingman, Arizona was traveling eastbound on US 12 when she fell asleep at the wheel, crossed the centerline, then overturned on the north side of the road. Shuler was treated for her injuries on scene by SEPSA EMS personal and was transported to Elkhart General Hospital by ambulance for her injuries. Seatbelt was worn and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash. Assisting at the scene were the Ontwa Township Edwardsburg Police Department, Porter Twp Fire Department, and SEPSA ambulance.
