Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 03:45PM

The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Anne Arundel County in central Maryland... Northeastern Prince Georges County in central Maryland...

* Until 345 PM EDT.

* At 300 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Goddard, or near Greenbelt, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.

* Locations impacted include... Bowie, Severn, Annapolis, College Park, Crofton, Greenbelt, Riviera Beach, Naval Academy, Baltimore-Washington Airport, Severn River, Fort Smallwood State Park, Gibson Island, Bodkin Point, Sillery Bay, Pinehurst, Glen Burnie, Severna Park, Odenton, Pasadena and Arnold.

* AFFECTED AREAS: PRINCE GEORGES, MD ... ANNE ARUNDEL, MD

Instructions:

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for central and northern Maryland. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
