Suffolk County Police today arrested a Middle Island man for committing a lewd act in front of a child at a Middle Island store yesterday.
 
An 11-year-old female and her father were in Walmart, located at 750 Middle Country Road, when a man committed a lewd act while looking at the girl at approximately 11:45 a.m. The victim told her father and the man fled the store.
 
Following an investigation by Sixth Squad detectives, Reynaldo Flores, 53, of 41 Half Mile Road, was arrested and charged with Public Lewdness and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He will be held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on April 26.
 
Detectives are asking anyone who believes they could be a victim of Flores to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652. 
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
