INCIDENT: Homicide Investigation
LOCATION: 18200 block of Tullock Street, Bloomington
SUSPECT: Michael O’Brien, Jr., age 23 a resident of Beaumont
VICTIM: Rudy Areyan, age 46 a resident of San Bernardino
SUMMARY:
On Saturday, March 16, 2019, at approximately 3:00 pm, deputies from the Fontana Sheriff’s Station responded the report of a shooting and a man down in the street in the 18200 block of Tullock Street in Bloomington. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local area hospital and was later pronounced deceased at 5:23 pm.
Detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail responded to the scene to conduct the investigation. Through investigation, detectives identified the suspect involved as Michael O’Brien. The victim and the suspect were known to each other prior to the shooting.
On March 17th, detectives obtained a Ramey warrant for the arrest of Michael O’Brien. Deputies from the Specialized Enforcement Division (SED) began assisting in the investigation in attempts to locate the suspect.
On April 22, 2019, deputies from SED arrested the suspect, Michael O’Brien in Perris, CA. He was transported and booked at Central Detention Center for PC187 Murder where he is being held without bail.
