Wilmington Police charge wanted New Castle man who resisted arrest

Wilmington Police have arrested a wanted New Castle resident who struggled with officers while being taken into custody.
 
On April 19 at approximately 4:30 p.m., members of the Street Crimes Unit observed a man driving a car and committing a traffic violation. Police conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle in the 2100 block of Market Street, and the driver – 31-year-old Jeremy Jones – struggled with officers before being taken into custody without further incident.
 
Jones was found to be wanted on several outstanding capiases and for a violation of probation, and was processed on those charges in addition to new charges including resisting arrest, reckless endangering (first degree), reckless driving and driving while suspended or revoked. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $12,300 secured bail.
