Wilmington Police announce temporary traffic restriction on April 25 
Wilmington Police are announcing a temporary traffic restriction during the 7th Annual Lt. Joseph Szczerba Memorial 5K on Thursday, April 25.
The race, which honors a fallen New Castle County Police officer, will result in traffic restrictions affecting the area of Salesianum High School, Augustine Cut Off, Lovering Avenue, South and North Park Drives, and Monkey Hill.
The race will begin at 6:30 p.m., and a temporary road closure will be in effect from West 18th and North Broom Streets to Augustine Cut Off. The closure will remain in place until participants clear the area, anticipated to be approximately an hour or less. Traffic in the area of Monkey Hill and Brandywine Park will also be delayed during the event.
