GTPD Community Bulletin: Things You May Have Missed This Week
We started off our week by recognizing our telecommunicators for National Public Safety Telecommunications Week. They are dedicated members to our 24 Hour Community Policing Dispatch Center. They are the first and most critical contact our citizens have with emergency services and the single most vital link for our police officers by monitoring their activities, providing them information, and insuring their safety.
On Tuesday we thanked our local librarians for National Librarians Day. They help us expand our imaginations and horizons by sharing the knowledge in literature and other informational services.
On Wednesday #GTPD Captain McKendry was chosen as an honoree of the 2019 Law Enforcement Appreciation Program. The Jewish Community Service Award was presented to him yesterday in honor of him promoting community relations that help foster fair and impartial policing and respect for all individuals. #3rdGearPolicing
Thursday, #GTPD Sergeant Melissa Capanna was officially sworn in as Lieutenant. Congratulations Lieutenant!
We ended our week with The SPKN (Special Parents And Kids Network) Easter Egg Hunt which was a blast! #HappyEaster #WeLikeTheEasterBunnyToo
