Detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 20300 block of Thunderbird Road in Apple Valley
DATE/TIME: April 20, 2019, at approximately 4:10 a.m.
INCIDENT: Attempted Murder
LOCATION: 20300 Block of Thunderbird Road, Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Unknown
VICTIM: Dedre Bugress, age 48, a resident of Apple Valley
SUMMARY: On Saturday, April 20, 2019, at approximately 4:10 a.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Apple Valley Station, responded to a call of shots fired in 20300 block of Thunderbird Rd. At about the same time, another reporting party called dispatch to report a domestic violence incident between a female and male in the same area. Upon arrival, deputies located Dedre Burgess, who had been shot multiple times. Burgess was awake, but unable to give deputies any information regarding the shooting. Burgess was immediately treated by paramedics of the Apple Valley Fire Protection District and transported to an area trauma center by American Medical Response.
No other persons were injured in this incident. It is believed the shooting and the domestic violence incident are related. Apple Valley Station detectives are actively investigating the incident and more information will be given at a later time.
