Flood Warning until 10:10PM Sunday

Runoff from previous heavy rain will result in the river remaining above flood stage. The Flood Warning continues for the French Broad River At Blantyre.

* until Sunday evening.

* At 9:16 PM Friday the stage was 19.1 feet.

* Minor Flood Stage is 16.0 feet.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.

* FORECAST: The river will continue rising to near 20.5 feet by Saturday morning. The river will fall below Minor Flood Stage late Sunday morning.

* Impact...At 19.0 to 20.0 feet...Significant flooding of farmland along the River is ongoing. Floodwaters may begin inundating the trailer park on River Ridge Road and may be impacting some buildings along US 64 north of Grove Bridge Rd. The river may also be overtopping the railroad tracks. Parts of River Road, Pleasant Grove Rd., Butler Bridge Rd. and Big Willow Rd. are likely flooding. Associated tributaries, including Little River, are likely flooding due to high water levels on the French Broad River.
