Narrative:

     On April 13, 2019, Ventura County Sheriff’s Gang Unit investigators conducted a traffic stop in the 1400 block of West Channel Islands Boulevard.  The investigators contacted driver Kyle Jones and passenger Alejandro Solis and determined both were displaying signs of recent drug use.  Both were on probation for drug related charges.  Both Jones and Solis were arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance, a violation per Health and Safety Code 11550(a).  Investigators invoked probation search conditions for Jones and Solis and conducted probation searches at their residences. Investigators located an unregistered 9mm handgun with an extended gun magazine, a second gun in process of being manufactured into an operable firearm, and a Billy Club.      
     
     Jones was arrested for 27545 P.C. – Unlawful Transfer Of A Firearm, 22210 P.C. Possession of a Billy Club, and Health and Safety Code 11550(a).
