On April 19, 2019, at approximately 1:15 p.m., Manhattan Beach Police Department, Manhattan Beach Fire Department and Los Angeles County Lifeguards responded to a radio call at 20th Street and Ocean Drive on the sand regarding a medical emergency. This incident is currently being investigated as a possible suicide.
The name of the deceased is not being released at this time pending coroner’s investigation and notification of next of kin.
