THE HOPEWELL POLICE DEPARTMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN 17th NATIONAL PRESCRIPTION DRUG TAKE-BACK INITIATIVE

[Hopewell, VA] –  On Saturday April 27th, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., as part of The 17th National Prescription Drug Take Back initiative, the Hopewell Police Department, in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), will give the public another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by disposing of potentially dangerous, expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.
 
As part of the initiative, the Hopewell Police Department is asking citizens to bring their expired and/or unwanted medications for disposal to the Hopewell Police Department’s collection site located in the back parking lot at 300 N. Main St. Hopewell, VA 23860.
 
No needles, syringes, or liquids accepted at the collection site. The service is free and anonymous with no questions asked.
