* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Southeastern Henderson County in western North Carolina... Southwestern Polk County in western North Carolina... North central Greenville County in Upstate South Carolina...

* Until 1015 AM EDT.

* At 924 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles south of Hendersonville, or 4 miles north of Pleasant Ridge State Park, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include... Hendersonville, Columbus, Flat Rock, Tryon, Saluda, Pleasant Ridge State Park, Jones Gap State Park, Valley Hill, Tuxedo and North Saluda Reservoir.

* AFFECTED AREAS: GREENVILLE, SC ... HENDERSON, NC ... POLK, NC
