Sunday, April 7, 2019
Robbery
Location: 2800 Mission College Blvd.
The victim walked to his car with a camera bag over his shoulder. The victim entered the driver’s seat of his car and placed the camera bag on the front passenger seat. A man approached the victim’s unlocked front passenger door. The subject grabbed the camera bag from the seat but was unable to exit the car before the victim grabbed ahold of the bag. The subject struck the victim’s arm with an unknown object which caused him to release the bag. The subject fled in a waiting car.

Residential Burglary
Location: 3400 Block of Lochinvar.
The victim left their garage at 1200 hours. They returned at 1730 hours and saw tools were missing from the garage. There were no signs of forced entry. It was unknown if the garage was locked. There was no suspect information.

Warrant Arrest
Location: 3400 Block of Lafayette St.
An officer attempted to stop a subject riding a bicycle. The subject fled from the officer on the bicycle. During the chase the subject abandoned his bicycle, fled on foot and hid from officers in some bushes. Officers located the subject. The subject had arrest warrants for grand theft and drug possession. The subject possessed suspected methamphetamine and two uncut vehicle keys. He was also in possession of identification that belonged to another person. The subject was arrested for the outstanding warrant and on view charges. Officers will follow up with the owner of the identifications.

Warrant Arrest
Location: 3550 El Camino Real
Officers were dispatched to the Bella Vista Inn regarding three subjects attempting to force entry into a motel room. Officers contacted three subjects at the motel. One subject had a $75,000 arrest warrant. The subject was arrested for the outstanding warrant.

Weapons Possession
Location: 1000 El Camino Real
Officers saw a subject run across El Camino Real and crouch behind a bush. The subject exited his hiding place and walked in the lanes of traffic. Officers contacted the subject and determined he was under the influence of a controlled substance. During a search of the subject, officers found a pair of brass knuckles. The subject was arrested for the drug and weapons violation.

Road Rage/Assault
Location: Great America Parkway and Hichborn Dr
The victim was driving in the area of Great America Parkway and Hichborn Dr. A subject driving a vehicle behind her honked his horn and yelled at the victim. The subject passed the victim and drove in front of her. The subject braked his vehicle in frequent sudden stops in front of the victim. The victim parked her vehicle in front of a business. The subjectexited his car and approached the victim’s open driver window. The subject made a derogatory comment and punched the victim one time in the face. After the assault the subject fled in his vehicle.

Commercial Burglary
Location: 2526 Homestead Rd.
Officers were dispatched to the Light of The Lord Community Churchregarding a front entry alarm. Officers saw a subject in the kitchen area of the church and stopped him as he exited a side door. The subject did not attend the church and did not have permission to be inside. The subjectwas in possession of several items he had stolen from the church. The subject was also in possession of screw driver and a wallet that contained identification and credit cards with different names that did not belong to him. Officers contacted the owner of the wallet. The victim left his wallet on the counter of a convenience store in Santa Clara. When he returned to his vehicle he noticed his wallet was missing and returned to the store. The wallet was no longer on the counter. The victim told officers his credit cards had been used several times after the theft. Officers obtained the video from the convenience store and saw the subject from the church burglary was the same person that stole the wallet. The subject was arrested for burglary and identity theft.

Drug Sales
Location: 3363 Octavius Dr.
Officers located a car parked on the third floor of a parking structure of a closed business. Officers contacted a 17-year-old juvenile in the driver’s seat and an 18-year-old adult in the passenger seat. Officers could smell the odor of marijuana at the window of the vehicle. They saw a pepper spray container on the juvenile’s key chain. The adult in the passenger seat fled from the vehicle. When officers attempted to detain him, the subject punched the officer. The officer sustained a visible injury. Officers searched the vehicle and located approximately 9.1 grams of suspectedmethamphetamine, 100 suspected ecstasy pills, approximately 11.0 grams of suspected cocaine, approximately 306.5 grams of cannabis, approximately 10.6 grams of suspected psilocybin, two suspected Xanax pills, approximately 218.1 grams of suspected codeine, cannabis edibles, two digital scales and $2,145 cash. Officers determined the drugs were possessed for sale. The adult was arrested for battery on an officer and possession of drugs for sale. The juvenile was arrested for possession of drugs for sale.
