Free Educational Awareness Presentations Available to the Community

The Santa Clara Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit offers community presentations on a variety of topics, including drug awareness, online gaming, gaming apps and the internet.

Teens are experiencing new challenges in an era of social media and the internet. You might not have heard of “Dirty Sprite,” “Z-Bars”, “Dabs,” or “Beannies,” but your children may have. Teen culture has brought us “Rave Parties” and now, “Pharm Parties.”
Meanwhile, child predators have used gaming apps, video games and telecommunications to exploit children. Today’s technology can bring the entire world into your home.

If you are interested in scheduling a presentation for your neighborhood or organization, contact Community Service Officer Michael Robinson at 408-615-4872 or [email protected]. Be prepared to provide information on potential date, time and location of the presentation and a description of the size and type of audience.
