Wilmington Police arrest two wanted persons after attempted shed burglary

Wilmington Police have charged a man and a woman in reference to the attempted burglary of a shed that was interrupted by a homeowner.
 
On April 11 at approximately 2:41 a.m., police were in the area of the Bayard Square community, where there have been recent reports of sheds being burglarized. Around the same time, patrol officers were dispatched to the 400 block of South Franklin Street, where a resident reported hearing something in his rear yard and observing a man attempting to remove tools from his shed. The resident confronted the suspect, who then fled.
 
Police in the area observed a man matching the description who, along with a woman, fled when they saw a patrol vehicle. Officers were able to take both suspects into custody without incident.
 
The first suspect, 37-year-old Desir Wooley, has been charged with attempted burglary (third degree) and attempted theft under $1,500. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 on $1,000 unsecured bail. He was also found to be wanted in Pennsylvania and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution pending extradition.
 
The second suspect, 26-year-old Shaye Robinson, was processed on active warrants for assault (second degree) and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $30,000 secured bail.
