Handguns Used by Suspects in Home Invasion Robbery - Shots Fired - North Codorus Twp.

On April 15, 2019, at 1030 PM, Officers responded to the 3900 blk. of Bahn Ave., York, North Codorus Twp., (located in the Bahn development across from New Salem Elementary school) to an armed home invasion robbery.

Two residents were home when they answered a knock to their door.  Two men, both armed with handguns, forced their way into the home.  The male resident was immediately struck in the head with an object and was pushed down a flight of stairs.  The female resident was also physically assaulted by the pair.  At some point in the struggles, a shot was fired by the suspects, but no one was struck by the bullet.  After the shot was fired, the suspects fled the home without taking any items.

The two (2) suspects were described as male, wearing black clothing and wearing a bandana type item that attempted to conceal their faces.  The suspects were looking for valuables.  At the time of this press release, the male victim is still hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.  The female victim, while having sustained multiple bruises, did not want medical attention other than treatment from responding medics.

Our officers were assisted at the scene by the West Manchester Twp. Police Department.  We are asking that anyone who may have witnessed any type of suspicious activity in that neighborhood, either earlier that day or during the incident, to contact the Southwestern Regional Police Department at our offices at 717.225.1333 x 100; or via the York County 911 Center at the non-emergency number of 717.854.5571.
