Subject: Shooting Incident

On Monday April 15th 2019 at approximately 9:17pm the Sun Prairie Police Department received multiple calls reporting a shooting in a parking lot in the 500 block of Athletic Way. Officers located a 45 year old male with a gunshot wound to the lower abdomen. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

After obtaining witness statements it is believed that three male subjects wearing masks were involved in the incident. Witness’s report that two suspects fled in a vehicle and one suspect fled on foot. The preliminary investigation indicates that this was a targeted incident.
