Amarillo Crime Stoppers - Crime of the Week - Armed Robbery
Amarillo Crime Stoppers is still asking the public for help identifying an Armed Robbery Suspect in this week's "Crime of the Week". On April 11th at 11:31 PM, APD officers were dispatched to an armed robbery at a convenience store in the 4200 block of SW 34th Avenue. The victim told officers that a male wearing a black or dark blue hooded sweat shirt, light blue jeans, and very noticeable red Nike tennis shoes pointed what she believed to be a gun wrapped in a blue bandana at her. The suspect demanded money out of the register. The suspect left the store, with an undisclosed amount of money, on foot and is believed to have gone south into the neighborhood. The suspect is described as an unknown race male being about 5’2’’ tall and having an average build. There were no reported injuries reported from this incident.
