                Deputy Bob Green of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Joshua Miguel Hernandez, 30, address listed as Lukes Loop in Marion, with assault by strangulation.
                At 7:14 a.m. on Friday, April 12, deputies responded to Lukes Loop in reference to a disturbance between Hernandez and his 19-year-old girlfriend.
                An investigation showed that, during a dispute between the two, Hernandez hit and strangled the victim.
