APD is investigating a weekend convenience store robbery

On April 13th at 9:55 PM, APD officers were dispatched to a convenience store in the 1700 block of NE 24th Avenue on a reported armed robbery. The victim told officers that two black males entered the store. One of the males, wearing a red mask over his face, pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim while demanding money from the cash register. The second male stood at the door and appeared to be a lookout. The male with the gun was described as being about 5’2’’ tall and weighing about 140 pounds, he had dark skin and was wearing a black leather jacket. The second suspect is described as being about 6’00’’ and wearing a faded blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans. The suspects left the store westbound on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no reported injuries from the incident.
