A felon in possession of 3 pistols fires shots into neighboring homes - he was arrested for multiple felonies

DATE/TIME: Friday, April 12, 2019 9:09 p.m.

INCIDENT: Attempted Murder

LOCATION: 1200 block of Desert Drive, Needles

SUSPECT: Larry Esquibel, 51 years old, resident of Needles

VICTIM(S): Confidential

SUMMARY:
On Friday, April 12, 2019 at 9:09 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Sheriff’s station / Needles Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Desert Drive in Needles for multiple reports of gun shots. Deputy Valdez arrived on scene and contacted Larry Esquibel, who was found to be armed with three pistols. The investigation showed Esquibel had fired multiple shots into his neighbor’s house and other houses on the street.

Esquibel was arrested and booked for attempted murder, felon in possession of a firearm and discharging a firearm into an inhabited dwelling. He is being held on $1,000,000 bail.
