Wilmington Police arrest, charge woman in March 31 stabbing 
Wilmington Police have arrested and charged a 41-year-old woman in connection with a March 31 stabbing.
On March 31 at approximately 4:45 p.m., police were called to the 900 block of Clifford Brown Walk in reference to a stabbing that had occurred. Arriving officers located a 54-year-old male stabbing victim suffering from a serious injury. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment, and has since been released.
Through the course of the investigation, Detective Paul Simonds was able to develop 41-year-old Christine Jones as a suspect and secured warrants for her arrest. Jones was taken into custody without incident on April 9.
Jones has been charged with assault (first degree) and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $100,000 secured bail.
