Diana Velasquez selected as March 2019

Student of the Month!
Fairfield PAL member, Diana Velasquez has been selected as the Solano First Federal Credit Union Student of the Month for March 2019.
Diana is a ninth grader who attends the Public Service Academy (PSA). Her dream after high school is to become a Marine and serve her county. A dedicated member of the PAL Boxing Club, Diane started boxing to meet new people, and overcome her shyness.
Coach Pete, who runs the boxing club, called her dedication inspiring. “She works hard the entire time she is training. She does not give up—if it is hard for her, she just keeps trying until she master’s it. I know she is shy—but I watch her really work hard to come out of her shell and interact with the other boxers.”
The Fairfield PAL program offers Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis teens a place to grow, learn, and build the skills they need today and in the future. The PAL Center offers teens a safe environment, supports working families, and helps students achieve by giving them opportunities right now.
The Fairfield PAL Program is open to Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis students ages 13-18 who are enrolled in school. Memberships are $10 per year and can be purchased at the Fairfield Community Center (1000 Kentucky Street) Mon-Thursday between 11:30am-5:30pm. A current student ID is required to register.
