Freeze Warning until 10:00AM Friday
The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Freeze Warning, which is in effect from 10 PM this evening to 10 AM MDT Friday. The Freeze Watch is no longer in effect. A Freeze Warning also remains in effect through 10 AM this morning.
* LOCATIONS...Including the cities of Grand Junction, Fruita, Palisade, De Beque, New Castle, Mesa, Parachute, Rifle, Silt, Montrose, Hotchkiss, Delta, Gateway, and Nucla.
* TEMPERATURES...Low temperatures will drop into the upper 20s and low 30s this morning. Temperatures will once again drop into the mid to upper 20s late this evening through early Friday morning.
* TIMING...The coldest temperatures are expected early this morning shortly after sunrise, as well as early Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...Sensitive vegetation and swamp coolers will be impacted by sub-freezing temperatures.
* AFFECTED AREAS: GRAND VALLEY ... DEBEQUE TO SILT CORRIDOR ... PARADOX VALLEY/LOWER DOLORES RIVER ... CENTRAL GUNNISON AND UNCOMPAHGRE RIVER BASIN
