Suspect flees from deputies, running across the I-10 fwy. K9 Dare tracks suspect & finds him hiding in bushes

VC2800.4- Evading Police Officers: Wrong Way Driver
LOCATION: Archibald Avenue / Highland Avenue
SUSPECT: Armando Cesena, 34-years-old from Corona
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at approximately 9:40 p.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department located a stolen vehicle. Deputies attempted a traffic stop at Hermosa Ave. and 19th St. The driver failed to stop, and a pursuit ensued south on Hermosa Ave. San Bernardino County Sheriff Department’s Aviation assisted the deputies with the pursuit which continued through several red lights. The driver, later identified as Armando Cesena, drove into the east parking lot of the American Career College. Cesena fled the scene, ran across all lanes of the 10 freeway into the Panda Inn Restaurant.
A perimeter was set up around the restaurant and surrounding businesses. K9 Dare was deployed near the front door of the restaurant where she acquired a scent. Dare tracked Cesena’s scent from the front doors to the rear of the restaurant, and to bushes where he was found hiding. Cesena was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center where he is being held on $100,000 bail.
