Lancaster Station Traffic Detectives recognized for their work by Board Of Supervisors during Victim's Rights Week!

Lancaster Station Traffic Investigators were honored for their diligent work representing victims during Victim’s Right Week at the Board of Supervisors meeting.

On Tuesday, April 9, 2019, Traffic Investigators were presented with a commendation during the Board of Supervisors meeting held at the Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration in Los Angeles. Detectives Ryan Bodily, Matthew Davis and Gilberto Borruel were recognized for solving over 75 hit and run, driving under the influence and fatal collisions in 2018. First District Supervisor Hilda Solis and Fifth District Supervisor Kathryn Barger, along with Supervisors from the other districts, as well as LASD Detective Bureau Chief Patrick Nelson and North Patrol Division Chief Dennis Kneer were on hand to commend the detectives for their care and compassion while investigating these crimes.

“These detectives make a difference in the lives of crime victims every day,” Supervisor Solis said. “Victims and their families have repeatedly shared with victim’s services representatives how passionate, thorough and helpful the Lancaster Traffic Detectives have been in these cases."

National Crime Victim’s Rights Week is celebrated every year in April. This week is dedicated to learn about the effect victimization has on individuals, families, friend and the community, and to promote
laws, policies and programs to help victims of crime.

We are so incredibly proud of our Traffic Investigators! They are the voice of victims, some that have been silenced forever. Congratulations and job well done Detectives Bodily, Borruel and Davis!
