60th Annual Armed Forces Day Parade

The City of Torrance is honored to pay tribute to the nation’s Armed Forces by hosting its 60th Annual Armed Forces Day Celebration & Parade. The celebration will begin Friday, May 17, 2019 until Sunday, May 19, 2019.
 
Scheduled events include: Military Displays, Concerts, and a “5K Run/ Walk” in tribute to Louis Zamperini which is presented by the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce.  The parade will begin Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 1:30 p.m.  The parade will proceed west along Torrance Boulevard, starting at Crenshaw Boulevard and ending at Madrona Avenue.
 
The City highlights a different branch of service each year.  This year the United States Navy will take center stage.  Rear Admiral Bette Bolivar, Commander of the Navy Region Southwest, will be the “Grand Marshal” and lead the parade on Saturday. 
 
Please gather along the parade route and cheer for those called to serve and protect our nation.

MEDIA STAGING AREA:  The north portion of the intersection of Torrance Boulevard and Maple Avenue will be dedicated for media staging and parking for Saturday, May 18, 2019 between 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
