John Bernard Memorial Golf Tournament; how you can donate
The Third Annual Deputy John Bernard Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for Thursday, April 25th, 2019 at the Moses Lake Golf Club. The golf tournament directly benefits the Behind the Badge Foundation and the John Bernard Memorial Scholarship fund.
The golf tournament has again sold out due to the generosity of our sponsors.
The Behind the Badge Foundation (behindthebadgefoundation.org) provides comprehensive support to Washington state’s law enforcement agencies, families and communities after an officer has died or suffered serious injury in the line of duty. The Behind the Badge Foundation serves survivors of a line of duty death (spouses, children, parents, siblings, significant others, in-laws, affected co-workers and chaplains.) The Behind the Badge also serves law enforcement officers who continue to serve and protect our communities, and their families.
“This organization in absolutely incredible in the work that they do,” said Sheriff Tom Jones. “As a board member of the Behind the Badge Foundation, I have seen firsthand the work that they do, most recently with their assistance given to the family of Kittitas County Sheriff’s Deputy Ryan Thompson.”
