* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches with locally higher amounts expected. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...Northwest San Juan Mountains and Southwest San Juan Mountains.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 9 AM MDT Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be difficult at times, especially over the higher passes. Visibility will be reduced at times in snow and blowing snow. A detailed map of the snowfall can be found at: www.weather.gov/gjt/winter.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHWESTERN SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS ... SOUTHWEST SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS
