Suffolk County Police today arrested a man and seized drugs and a weapon following the execution of a search warrant at a Farmingville residence early this morning.

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired in Farmingville. Two men kicked in the front door of 43 Horizon View Drive, displayed a gun, and demanded drugs and money from the homeowner at approximately 2:10 a.m. The homeowner, Sukhman Janjua, fired a shotgun at the robbers, who fired their gun as they fled, striking the houses at 43 and 45 Horizon View Drive with a single bullet each. Detectives recovered drugs at the scene. No one was injured.

After the shooting, police executed a search warrant at the residence and detectives seized cash, and quantities of heroin, marijuana, hallucinogenic mushrooms, Oxycodone pills and crack/cocaine. The shotgun that was used in the incident this morning was also recovered.

Janjua, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2^nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3^rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4^th Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5^th Degree, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7^th Degree, and Possession of Marijuana 2^nd Degree.

Janjua, 21, will be held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on April 6.
