(Angels Camp, CA) On April 3, 2019 members of the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team served a search warrant for an illegal indoor marijuana grow at a residence in the 5000 block of Spur Rd, Angels Camp. Investigators found an unpermitted addition to a residence and a carport had been converted for marijuana cultivation. A total of 1,227 marijuana plants 64 pounds of processed marijuana and one shotgun were seized. 37 year old Feng Gao (Sacramento, CA) was arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail on charges of 11358(c) H&S-Illegal Marijuana Cultivation,11366 H&S-Maintaining a Drug House, 11359 H&S-Possession of Marijuana for Sale, 182(a)(1)PC-Criminal Conspiracy. Feng Gao’s bail was set at $150,000.00.

Calaveras County Code Compliance was contacted and posted the main residence and carport as substandard due to hazardous electrical conditions and no permits for structural changes. This investigation is ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
