Wilmington Police arrest man and woman hours after burglary

Wilmington Police have arrested and charged a man and a woman in connection with a robbery and assault.

On March 29 at approximately 4:25 p.m., police responded to the unit block of Corbin Court. There, they learned that two men came to the door of the victim’s apartment and accused the victim of stealing a package that had supposedly been delivered to their unit earlier that day. One of the suspects, 21-year-old Keevan Hale, shoved the victim, causing him to fall backwards into his apartment. The victim reported that Hale and the other suspect, Nakeilah Lindsey, then began punching the victim as well as his girlfriend before searching the apartment for the package. The victim then noted that Hale stole his iPad prior to leaving the apartment.

On the same date at approximately 11:42 p.m., police executed a warrant at the suspects’ apartment, and both were taken into custody without incident.

Hale has been charged with burglary (second degree), theft under $1,500, offensive touching and criminal mischief. He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution.

Lindsey has been charged with burglary (second degree), theft under $1,500, offensive touching (two counts) and criminal mischief. She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $10,800 unsecured bail.
