On Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 0006 hours deputies with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee received a tip that Casey Carlton Whitesides was staying at the Rodeway Inn in Knoxville ,TN.
Deputies located Whitesides at the Rodeway Inn and arrested him without incident.
Whitesides girlfriend Harvest Sunshine Pyse, who was traveling with him was also arrested.
Whitesides was wanted out of Rutherford County, NC for Assault with a Deadly weapon with Intent to Kill and Inflicting Serious Injury, in the shooting of Jesse Hutchins.
Whitesides and Pyse are facing additional charges in Knox County for: (1 count) Meth- MFG, Deliver, Sale, Poss with Intent, (1 count) Schedule VI Drugs: MFG. Deliver, Sell, Poss and (1 count) Poss Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia Uses & Activities
Whitesides and Pyse each received a bond of $38,000.00 in Knox County.
Whitesides was also charged in Knox County with (1 count) Fugitive From Justice-Felony and soon will face extradition back to Rutherford County.

On 03/31/2019 Rutherford County Sheriff’s Deputy David Suttles was sitting at Holland’s furniture, in Henrietta taking a report when Jesse Hutchins pulled into the parking lot and told Deputy Suttles that he had been shot and needed help.
Deputy Suttles called for EMS to respond and rendered aid to Hutchins. Deputy Suttles was able to briefly speak to Hutchins and in doing so determined the shooting had occurred at 714 Hines Road in Mooresboro, which is the home of Casey Whitesides.
Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Investigators secured a search warrant and the S.E.R.T (Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team) Executed the Search warrant at 714 Hines Road in Mooresboro.
Investigators have secured warrants on Casey Whitesides for Assault with a Deadly weapon with intent to kill and inflicting serious injury.
Jesse Hutchins was airlifted to Spartanburg Regional where he underwent surgery and is currently in ICU.
