Deputies arrest a North Hills man for possession of narcotics and a mobile counterfeiting lab

INCIDENT: PC 480 – Counterfeiting / Forgery
LOCATION: San Manuel Casino - 777 San Manuel Boulevard, Highland
SUSPECT: Oganes Darmanchyan, 38-years-old, resident of North Hills, CA
SUMMARY:
On April 1, 2019, Oganes Darmanchyan was arrested at the San Manuel Casino for possession of drug paraphernalia. During his arrest, Oganes gave a false name of Arbak Nazaryan.
The San Manuel Department of Public Safety notified investigators Damanchyan’s vehicle contained equipment to produce counterfeit $100. Detectives served a search warrant on Darmanchyan’s vehicle and discovered a mobile counterfeiting lab which included a computer, usb drives, printers, seals, plates, gold flake and miscellaneous tools used to produce counterfeit currency.
On April 3, 2019 Oganes Darmanchyan was booked on the additional charge of PC 480(a)- Counterfeiting / Forgery. Darmanchyan remains in custody at Central Detention Center with bail set at $50,000. He is scheduled for arraignment on Friday, April 5, 2019 in San Bernardino Superior Court.
