The National Law Enforcement and Public Safety basketball league is comprised of Law Enforcement Officers, Federal Agents, and Fire Fighters from across the nation. The teams are ranked by the number of games won and participation in tournaments.

This is not the first time the Indiana Team has made waves, as they have won the gold medal at the World Police and Fire Games, won other tournaments across the nation, as well as placed in the final four of other brackets:

Atlanta Tournament, Champions – March 2019
Dallas Tournament, Final Four Finish – November 2018
Memphis Tournament, Final Four Finish – August 2018
Orlando National Championship, Champions – June 2018
World Police and Fire Games, Gold Medalist – November 2017

Upcoming Tournaments:
World Police and Fire Games in Vancouver, Canada – June 2019
Memphis Tournament – August 2019
Dallas National Tournament – November 2019

Along with forming and playing in the National League, IMPD Detective Sydney McDaniel established the Charity game, “Hoops and Heroes” with Officer Rodney White in 2015, where IMPD plays against IFD, to raise money for the Julian Center for Domestic Violence Victims. They have raised over $160,000 dollars since the inaugural event and it continues to grow each year. The event takes place each October during Domestic Violence Awareness month and features a family friendly atmosphere with games and fun activities before the game.

Join us in congratulating Indiana’s Team on their success in playing Indiana’s game and becoming the #1 team in the nation!
