On April 2, 2019, Rutherford County Narcotics Detectives executed vehicle stop near intersection of Ferry Road and Harris Henrietta Road for motor vehicle violations.  Rutherford County Narcotics Detectives requested the assistance of Rutherford County Interdiction Team.  Rutherford County Interdiction Team K9 Jango was utilized to perform a free air sniff during the vehicle stop.  K9 Jango alerted to presence of an odor of controlled substance.  A search of vehicle produced 346.8 grams Methamphetamine and $2,200.81 in U.S. Currency.  Rutherford County Narcotics Detectives then arrested Phillip Irby Robbins of 147 Westmore Drive Ellenboro, N.C.  Robbins was transported to Rutherford County Detention Center.  Robbins was Charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Maintaining Vehicle, Simple Possession Schedule VI and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Robbins received $500,000.00 secured bond.
