Incident: Suspicious subject armed with a firearm

Incident Summary:
On April 2, 2019, at approximately 5:50 PM, officers were dispatched to the area of Lakeville Circle, Petaluma, California for a report of a suspicious person armed with a firearm. While responding to the scene officers were advised the suspect was seen holding a firearm and walking toward Lakeville Circle at Frates Road. Upon arrival, witnesses stated the subject had a semiautomatic pistol and pulled the slide back on the firearm prior to walking southeast toward Frates Road.
Officers established a perimeter around the neighborhood where the suspect was last seen and conducted a thorough search of the area. Despite an extensive search of the area, neither the suspect or the firearm were not located. The suspect armed with the firearm was described as a Hispanic male adult, approximately 35 years of age, husky build, bald, wearing khaki brown overalls, no shirt, and a black puffy style vest.
After reviewing prior calls for service, the same subject was reported around Lakeville Circle throughout the day acting suspiciously; however, responding officers were unable to locate him. It is unknown if the subject is visiting a resident in the area or transient.
