Wilmington Police arrest two teens caught breaking into vehicle

Wilmington Police have arrested and charged two teenagers caught breaking into a vehicle.
 
On March 29 at approximately 3:40 p.m., members of the Street Crimes Unit observed a 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old male in the 400 block of North Dupont Street looking into parked vehicles. Police then observed both teens unlawfully entering a parked vehicle and rummaging through its contents.
 
Police conducted a pedestrian stop, and both suspects were taken into custody without incident.
 
The 16-year-old male, who was on house arrest at the time, was charged with attempted theft, conspiracy (third degree) and breach of release. He was arraigned in New Castle County Family Court and released on $3,000 unsecured bail.
 
The 15-year-old was charged with attempted theft and conspiracy (third degree). He was arraigned in New Castle County Family Court and released on $2,000 unsecured bail.
