LOCATION: 22000 block of DeSoto Street Grand Terrace
SUSPECT: Joseph Anthony Medina, 35 year old resident of Redlands
VICTIM: Confidential - a resident of Grand Terrace
SUMMARY:
On March 17, 2019, Joseph Medina and the victim were involved in a fist fight near the intersection of Mount Vernon Avenue and DeSoto Street, in the city of Grand Terrace. During the fight, Medina brandished a firearm, pointed it at the victim, and discharged two rounds in an upward direction, away from the victim. Medina fled the scene prior to deputies arriving at the location. Deputies conducted an investigation and an arrest warrant was issued for Medina.
On March 30, 2019, deputies from Central Station’s Multiple Enforcement Team (M.E.T.) located Medina in the city of Redlands. Medina was arrested without incident and a firearm was recovered. Medina was booked at Central Detention Center and is being held in lieu of a $100,000 bail.
