Freeze Warning until 09:00AM Monday
Cold high pressure moving over the Ohio River Valley today into tonight will begin nosing southward east of the southern Appalachians Monday morning. Northerly winds around the high pressure system will bring colder air into western North Carolina and freezing temperatures will likely develop in some locations where the growing season is now active. The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a Freeze Warning, which is in effect from 4 AM to 9 AM EDT Monday. The Freeze Watch is no longer in effect.
* LOCATIONS...Gaston and Mecklenburg Counties in North Carolina.
* TEMPERATURES...Lows in the lower 30s.
* IMPACTS...Freezing temperatures could kill or damage sensitive vegetation.
