A fatal traffic collision involving a Honda sedan and a GMC SUV occurred near Air Expressway and George Boulevard

LOCATION: Air Expressway and George Boulevard, Victorville
SUMMARY:
On Saturday, March 30, 2019, at approximately 11:08 pm, deputies from the Victorville Police Department and rescue personnel from the Victorville Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle traffic collision near the intersection of Air Expressway and George Boulevard.
Upon arrival, deputies determined a Honda sedan was traveling westbound on Air Express Way and a GMC SUV was traveling eastbound on Air Express Way. For unknown reasons, the Honda driver lost control of the vehicle and went into oncoming traffic, colliding with the GMC.
The driver of the Honda was declared deceased at the scene by Fire personnel. The driver of the GMC suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital.
Air Expressway, between Phantom East and George Boulevard, were closed during the investigation and reopened at approximately 05:07am.
